Butternut Maple Farm is in the news! Check out this awesome 2024 Ohio Maple Madness Tour feature on Cleveland.com featuring your favorite local certified organic maple syrup producer:
"Pierre Delafranconi, owner of Butternut Maple Farm in Burton, has participated in the Maple Madness Driving Trail since he built a new sugarhouse in 2018. Before that, he was crowned grand champion of the Geauga County Maple Festival in 2008."
Pierre goes on to explain what visitors can expect during a visit on the Ohio Maple Madness Tour:
“It’s a self-driving tour, so visitors can show up here and drive a few miles to another farm. While they are here, I’ll be giving them an explanation of how the process works from beginning to end, showing all the equipment and explaining how it works. An all-you-can-eat pancake and sausage breakfast with a choice of plain, blueberry or chocolate chip pancakes will be available concurrently during the tour,"
"And, of course, top them off with a choice of dark, medium or light maple syrup," writer Gregory Burnett adds.
The article goes on to describe the sugarhouse, our process for making syrup and even our Airbnb, stating, "If Butternut is last on your tour list after a tiring day, it’s also an Airbnb. For around $100 a night, there’s a spacious suite on the second floor of the farmhouse."
